Mike, how much did it cost you for rental of the fork lift to get your score to the car? One bodacious score...those will keep you out of the bars at night. And here I was thinking of bragging about scoring 'just' one of the Monogram clear plastic P-51 kits. You might want to set aside that Tonto kit and consider it as an investment.

well i cracked open the b-52 and the ac-130 to look at the parts and found the b-52 is missing the glass and the ac-130 is missing all the prop blades

Sounds like all you need is a sheet of clear plastic to fix both kits. The B-52 doesn't have difficult windows to replicate out of a sheet of plastic, and just cut out circles to represent the spinning props on the AC-130. Fiddler's Green has some spinning prop templates for clear plastic if you want to try to print some out. Otherwise, just "borrow" some paper props from any of the larger paper models out on the internet. If you are anywhere near a dollar tree store, pick up a roasting pan and use the clear top of the pan as the base material.
Still sucks that the sellers didn't tell you about the missing parts. I thought those two kits were your best score. |
