Micro-organism - anyone know what this is?

Over Christmas we had a large bowl of flowers.

When we were about to throw it out we noticed that there were quite a lot of Micro-organism in it.

The mosquito larva are obvious, but what are the fellows with the two "feelers"?

They are very sensitive to my movement and dived if they detected motion......

Does anyone know what they are?

According to a para in my class that is a certified naturalist, the blobby guys with the feelers are probably beetle larvae. THe triangle shape on their backs means that they are "true" insects.

Thanks.

Still trying get to find out, but that info now at least gives me a some direction now.

We have one type of beetle that's common at Christmas - the common name is naturally "Christmas Beetle"! Don't think this is the proper name though. May be this......

Anyone able to narrow down the ID of these things?

I have had a look at beetle larva and cannot really get to anything specific
