In a condo, so just a tomato plant in a container and a few flowers and herbs in a tiny flower bed. Already thinking about the back yard garden for my planned move to my retirement house in Cal next year (if there's any water left).

That's a different variety of hydrangea than I am used to. I'd not seen the Chitalpa before.

I'm more familiar with Catalpa trees

Oh, yeah, and dandelion jelly is pretty good, too

Our garden is a right.mess at the moment. I just need to make the time to sort ot out. Probably starting with dismantling the trampoline now the kids have moved out.

I love mango but we can grow it here just below Polar Circle (well 750 km south). ;-)

Here are couple of shots from our garden. We had many old apple trees when we got the place but one by one winds and age of the tress have fallen them down - making way for the flower beds. Biggest harvest of apples was few years back when we got 900 kg.

We still have big trees around to provide shade at times, couple of birches, big maple and some asps. Last summer a big spruce almost got me. It had a double treetop and a sudden downburst took one of them and nearly on me - one meter and I wouldn't be writing this. One of the pics show the stump of the spruce we're hiding behind some flowers.

Mostly perenials in the flower beds, a small patch of grass and the front of the on gravel because of our car. Lots of lilacs and I love the early summer scent of them. Hope you enjoy the pics.
