Burdie

Checked out the cardboard Lexus at Cardboard Lexus
Me imagines most of us is totally lacking the equipment and facilities (not to mention finance) for such a project.

However don't despair, a bit of scrap packaging from IKEA can work wonders.

This fun 21/2 D - all cardboard - sculpture is impressive and effective even when viewed at this angle from the front door 9.5m (31') away.
It's 800mm (31.5") tall.

Did you just trim and peel the outer layer of the paper off? Very cool. What did you use to trim around the template? That thick of cardboard wold need a long blade to cut all the way through and that cleanly.

Yes but only the skins were cut with a knife.
Unwanted honeycomb was removed with pointy scissors cutting from both sides.
Bit slow but it worked and the exposed (and rough) honeycomb edges leave the material to be obvious.
