Steampunk

I confess. Among my interests are things steampunk....I could so easily fit into the mad Spark category. I just got in a copy of The Steampunk Adventurer's Guide by Thomas Willeford. I expected that it would be just text discussing the steampunk genera of fiction. It is so much more....it contains detailed instructions and plans for making steampunky stuff from cardboard, foamcore, and miscellaneous junk you might have laying around. I strongly recommend the book to members that might have an inclination toward this kind of stuff. And, while reading the listing of tools and supplies, I found out that there is DOUBLE SIDED DUCT TAPE! How cool, and how have I overlooked this item on my visits to the hardware department. Immediately coming to mind is that this stuff may be just the thing for laminating.

He has several other books on the same line. They are mostly available on Amazon at a reasonable price (I say this only because I've already got my copies ordered, along with a few extras for Christmas presents to a couple of my kids and grandkids.

You inspired me to build a model I had meant to get to for quite a while, Shawn Harvey's Steam Albatross
