May 1940,the sacrifice of the assault aviation

May, 1940.
The french Breguets of assault aviation attempt, at great cost, to stop the advancing German columns.
A plastic model diorama in 1/72 scale.

REALLY NICE JOB ON THIS DIORAMA JAN,
And your overhead photographs are wonderful.
They remind me of some of the original naval sortie photographs
my father brought home from his time fighting the Japanese
during WWII.
Also your use of colored cotton for impacts from fired rounds
is very smart.
All in all a pleasure to look at your models, and your
inventive use of materials in creating your diorama.
Best Regards,
Gary

That's an impressive diorama Jan. What scale is it? and how large is it?

Superbly done! French author, poet and philosopher has written his spledid book "Flight to Arras" about those desperate, senseless missions. Highly recommended.

... And pioneering airmail pilot and adventurer too, he flew latecoere 25 through andes mountains for aeroposta argentina before war and flew recce P-38 during WW2, which provide inspiration for flight to arras

He also acquainted with other french aviators such as Jean Mermoz and Andre Prevot
