The model you mention was also produced for export in narrow gauge which fits - the gauge here is just that at three foot six inches. I see there were an number of these locos supplied to SAMANCOR - a steel mill - and this is where the engine is based (now operating for an outsourced company that provides the locomotive services).

A few from Oregon in July 2010 at the Oregon Rail
Museum. SP4449 GS-4 Northern 4-8-4 in Daylight colors getting a freshen up. Then some diesels. EMD GP-30, Alco RSD5, EMD SDP40F, EMD F40. Think I've got everything id'ed correctly.

Haven't posted anything here for awhile.
Here's one from the AHTS truck show at the Orange Empire Railway Museum May of 2016: 1951 Alco S4. The rest is pretty much trucks so will load it to the Museum section when I get it finished.

British Steam
Here are some photographs of a preserved ex Great Western Rly 2800 class freight locomotive. Location the Llangollen Railway in North Wales UK I was making a model of the loco in N Gauge at the time so I wanted some detailsto get the model right.

Enjoying the recent pictures.
I find Daylight colors look better on 4449 than on that F40. Maybe a different pattern would help.

Great photos, RobRo. God's Wonderful Railway owned some beautiful locomotives. It is good that some of them are still operating in all their glory.
