I note that the Reading and Northern F-9a is emblazoned with the motto: "The Road of Anthracite," which was a motto of the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad, the "Route of the Phoebe Snow," whose "gown [stayed] white from morn till night / Upon the Road of Anthracite."
I guess the Reading and Northern inherited the heritage of all the Anthracite Roads. Don (Member of the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society who used to ride the Lehigh Valley between Ithaca, New York, and Sayre, Pennsylvania, going back and forth to college in the 1950s.) |

Railfair, 1999-06-28 California Railroad Museum
These were taken by my late friend, Don Drummer. We always make duplicate sets for each other of the various events we went to.

That Ferromex loco is one of GE's "Super Seven" series. Always liked the looks of those, too bad more US railroads didn't buy them.

More GP9s
Don't think I've posted these. Haven't been out much this year, between high heat, wildland fires, then several weeks of heavy rain and flash flooding been staying close to the homestead. Anyway get this moving again. Here's some GP9s from the Copper Basin short line. This runs from the mine in Hayden area west to connect up with the UP by Casa Grande.
