restoration vintage travel trailer: getting ready for solar eclipse

This August 21, 2017 there will be a total solar eclipse running across the United states. It will start up in Oregon, and run through Georgia. My wife who is an astronomer, and loves camping, wants to see this event in person as it also falls on our 30th wedding anniversary.
I decided to make it a 4 week trip across the USA in a 1977 sunline 12.5 micro-compact travel trailer that I have been restoring for the past 3 years. We have been practicing camping with it and we seem to have it all down now. The rig is finally set for our needs:

We are going to be at the Gran Teton national park, the big hotel there.

Sound like fun adventures.
Fortune shines on me for this darkening of the sun - I am not healthy or wealthy enough to travel any distance but as it happens our little mid-Missouri burg is right in the middle of the path.
Cool!

The closest international airport to the center-line on the event is Kansas City, which is a short hop to St. Joseph. If you can do the trip, maybe we could get a mini-get-together arranged.

Southwestforests should have a great seat for it.

Gary, 2090, Is just around the corner. Think of how many models you can build and design in that time, LOL.

Everybody keeps teasing me about the weather and planning a 3000 mile road trip depending on a specific 5 minute interval being a sunny day. The trip includes 5 days at Gran Teton/Yellowstone 5 days Bryce/Zion, Lake Powell, Arches and CanyonLand days as well.

I definitely love the tiny trailer. Easy to tow, easy to park, easy to leave someplace and go to dinner in the car. All it is is a bedroom and a small kitchenette (if its raining, otherwise set-up outside the kitchen.) On rainy days you can covert the Bed into a table and benches in about 3 minutes.
