SNJ-5 from Monogram kit

This my latest completed model. While I like paper, I also like my pla*t&c since I have so many in my stash. This was started 15 years ago and just now completed.

Nice looking AT-6, at6! I've built that kit and had a really fun time with it.

Nice job.

Very nicely done!

I've always loved the raised rivets and panels of old kits.

smithdr,Rubenandres77, Thank you both. I only have another 35 to 40 of these in my stash to build. I have over 500 kits left to build of different planes, armor, and ships. That's on top of the paper kits I have waiting to be done. I'll have to live forever to get to all of them plus what ever I download in the future. The rivet detail in the Monogram kit is fairly within scale surprisingly.

Monogram kits have always been and will always be the finest in plastic model kits. I mean common models, not special edition extremely expensive kits made only for collectors. I am referring to kits for the common modeler who wishes to have a collection of plastic models usually made "straight from the box".

Thank you my friends. Modeling in any media is still modeling. I like both and plan to use a paper interior from the paper Stearman in an old Lindberg Stearman fairly soon. While Revell is a better kit, I have several Lindbergs here and with the price of pl*st*c, no new kits for this old dog.

Lindberg models are not as accurate as they should be BUT some of them are very good indeed including the PT-17 which by the way is a very old model. It was initially made during the 40s when Lindberg Line was called O-Lin from Olsen and Lindberg the two partners who founded the company that was known afterwards as The Lindberg Line when Mr. Olsen retired from the firm. Most moulds from Lindberg are fortunately in good condition and some are still being produced by a company known a Round2. Paul Lindberg's daughter appeared on Playboy Magazine in 1967. Paulette Lindberg is her name. Really beautiful!!

Thanks. she really was beautiful back then. The PT-17 does have it's inaccuracies but until Revell, it was all we had. My biggest gripe with the Lindberg kit has to be the engine and lack of interior detail.

Yes, no doubt, but remember how old is this mould. In those days, interior of cabins and detailed engine were not important. Just remember the old Aurora kits., Practically no detail but they sold like hotcakes!!!
