Been thinking of doing some mountains scenery, as kind of a back ground to some of the animals.

Not sure yet if it will make the overall view to "busy". Will try it soon on one of the rings.

They have full bottoms too, so the entire fire and ashes is contained.
Makes it more mobile.

But I like your idea.
Something more permanent and decorative for your backyard Fire pit.
The two end pieces will be made into fire "pits", similar to the drum and washing tub you mention.

Plenty of people here, use both the tub and barrel as well.

My fire ring is in the front yard. Quicker access to unloading certain liquids... No door access to the very small back yard.

Our campgrounds up here have the same type of fire rings, like this one, however they don't have anything cut into them, just round with a big V opening on one side, some have a grate welded to the top for cooking.

My actual ring is only a 30" that was given to me by a co-worker for cutting these same designs in his ring, of course mine was the first one to experiment on.

My daughter is planning to dig a pit, line with gravel and sand, laying bricks down around it to support outdoor style furniture. She lives about 300 ft from my favorite Brew House (Kassik's-they have a great brew called Beaver Tail Blond Ale). Guess where I'll be this weekend...After all help with digging the pit is sure to raise a thirst. Then there's the sand and gravel thing, don't forget about the bricks as well.

Each ring is 20" high. Most of the photos are one ring, the one with the bear paw is my daughter's ring.

Depends on who made the tank:
