1/48 scale V2 on the 3D printer

I had to reduce it from 1/25 to fit the parts on the printer, so the walls are pretty thin. It can be used as a flying model, but I don't think it could withstand the ejection charge because of the thinness. Already thinking about getting a bigger printer!

WAC nose for the Bumper V2. Full height of the model with the WAC is 15.25 inches/38.7 cm.

Looks great! How difficult is it to design things the printer can handle?

I didn't design it. There are countless designs ready to print you can download for free. I only designed a simple one on tinkercad.com. I find interesting models on yeggi.com.

Currell web site has a nice V2 plus a number of other truly great free models. Try that site.

Mike Vink brought one to the last model club meeting here in Fresno. It turned out extremely well. But then again, Mike is an excellent modeler.

Agreed on Mike. I had printed the Currell V2 over seven years ago. That's how long it waited to be built! Glad I finally got around to it.
