Only took 30 years
I started this model in 1987 and just Finished it. The Monogram P-51D which by any standard is still a nice kit. Prior to this one, the only P-51D that I'd built was a now long gone Hawk/Testors kit.

WELL DONE!
I remember the Mongram kits - they were nice!

Is that the 1/48 scale?
Nice kit indeed. Many of those Monogram toolings still hold up well. Nice build. Lots of small decals there!

Actually, I think I had one - it was a special one and had a transparent body.

Congratulations. Looks like the time was well spent developing your modeling skills. Top job.
I'm staring at a Revel USS Kearsarge that I started in 1975. I will get around to finish it, some day. |

Now that's what I call persistence. Well done. You're an inspiration for me to complete my shoved aside projects.

I've got a Revell USS Arizona that I picked up half assembled in a yard sale around 1995 os so. Might finish it someday; another retirement project I guess.

What you had was the "Visible Mustang" in 1/32 scale. They had working features and were re-issued for a time somewhere in the 1990s. I never got one but they went sold out rather quickly when they were available.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I've decided to clear my plastic shelf of doom before embarking on new projects. I have no paper shelf of doom since I build those one at a time.
