Kilts: The Final Question

Tourist: "Sir, what is worn under your kilt?"
Old Scotsman: "Madam, nothin' is worn under my kilt; everythin' is in perfect workin' order."

I have other responses to that question:
--"I'm a man of few words, give me your hand."
--"My Scottish pride."
--"Same as you laddie, only bigger."
--"McNuggets"
--"On a good day, lipstick."
And two of my favorites:
--"Shoes and socks"
--"Good girls don't ask; bad girls don't have to."

Wearing the kilt military or "commando" style is a choice. Personally, I think it is awfully hard on the kilt and less comfortable than it's cracked up to be, but I know many disagree. If you're dancing, taking part in Scottish games, or marching in a pipe band, decency and good taste dictate some kind of underwear. Otherwise, it's up to you.

Whichever you choose, never admit that you wear anything under the kilt. Keep them guessing; it's part of the mystique.
