Along with several other AMT models I remember making one of these way back in 1957/58. I dread to think what you had to pay for these kits now.

I used to like the 3-in-1 kits that could be assembled as stock , rod, or custom. Mostly the custom versions won out with me.

Looks like something you could get at Steak and Shake!I know they had a kid's food container that looked like a 57 Bel Air convertible.He means a more accurate one.

Great looking model! My first stock car was a '57 Ford 2 door hardtop powered with a 312 Ford engine. It was as fast as the Chevrolets but came up a little short in the handling department. I was a green 18 year old kid and it was a great beginner's car.
