Very, very nice. You need to find a Golden Oldie station to tune to.

Its been some time since my last post but since I completed my last Radio the Stirling Bomber Project Team (at the former RAF Alconbury) asked me to renovate one of their Radios for the project. Find below a link to the renovation video: Restoration Vid Before After Currently its cosmetic but once the radio station is complete, Ill get this to work. Enjoy |

Yes,it is a great piece of work.
Once restored is it able to pick up any radio stations or transmissions at all? What kind of voltage does it require? |

Cheers guys
It will be able to pick up transmissions originally working from 18.5 MHz to 3 MHz & 1500 kHz to 500 kHz & 500 kHz to 75 kHz. In a bomber it ran off the aircrafts 12v system but ground sets, via transformers, ran off 230v. For now it’s a display piece awaiting the full radio ops position. Wireless Ops position Regards Last edited by alzictorini; 03-23-2020 at 04:21 PM. |
