Apollo Program LEM Model
So somehow, I ended up getting a small 3D printer. Otherwise known to traditional artists as "Satan's Chisel". After playing around with it for a while, getting to know how to work with it, I decided I wanted to print some spacecraft. I was not happy with the models made for printing I found online so I am designing my own. Here are a couple of pictures of what I have made so far. It's still a WIP, but I am learning a lot about the lunar landers and 3d printing. I made a timelapse video of one of the prints, and it looks like it just magically appears. Believe me, it ain't that easy.

Fascinating...
I had always thought that the front of the LEM had a face (the two triangular windows and the door). Printed in black, it almost looks Vader-esque! Thanks for sharing!

Are you planning to share the STL-file? Thingiverse?

I sure will. I still have to finish out the legs and antennae, but I will share them when I get them all finished up.
