Happy Birthday Papierschnitzel

Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Chris!

I'm sure there is a distinct Viennese way to say that, but I haven't learned it yet.

However we say it, we all hope you have a great birthday and will find some time to do some paper modeling.

Thanks for all the wonderful models you have shared with us, from prehistoric huts, to complex Japanese buildings and watercraft, to pirate ships - and many thanks for your contribution to the art, craft, and community of paper modeling.

Don

Thank you very much gentlemen.

Don, I think the only thing that would make it more Viennese is to add the local dialect (which would make it unreadable :-) )

Kids like to say "Purzeltag" (from purzeln=to tumble) instead of "Geburtstag" when they cannot properly pronounce the right word and sometimes grown ups tend to use it too.

But other than saying it in Viennese the way to celebrate is with a Schnitzel and a Sachertorte! Will think of you guys next time I get a hold of these :-)

Cheers,
Chris

Thank you all. I had a great day and will continue the celebration on the weekend as my girl friend is taking me to one of my favourite spots in Austria (Nationalpark Seewinkel) where we go bird watching (my other hobby )

Me!

Very common ... harrier

the landmark bird of this region ... the stork

very rare ... imperial eagle (one pair has started to breed there a couple of years ago)
