Happy Birthday!

Sounds better than what I'm doing. 25lb post tamper hit me in the head last night, while constructing a high tunnel greenhouse.

On the couch today with bleeding head and headache.

The post hole tamper is fine, couldn't find any dents.

Dang! Did you hit a rock?

I've heard of folks doing strange things to get their birthdays off, but that doesn't seem to me to be a good choice. Heal fast

Yes, a 80lb'er. My home is over some really big gravel, some is normal size, others are huge. To blast through the gravel a little extra force at times is needed.

This one was found on the first hammering, found the rock at about 2 inches. Second stroke was a downstroke with extra power to blast through. The post tilted towards me on the first one, the second down stroke caught on the post and the 25.2lb tamper bounced off the center top of my head. Lost my grip on the handles.

Can think of better ways to spend today!

Hope you are enjoying yours.

Mike

Happy Birthday, Dave.

Do NOT mess around with post hole tampers. Mike's description of his accident sent a chill down my spine.
