Found at my local Wal Mart. Display with a, maybe 8 ft U Wing Fighter. I was wondering what they will do with them after the season....hmmm..

Yup, that's usually the way it works.
We did get a full size standup of a Nascar driver just by asking. Seems the promotion was just about over. We asked the manager and she had someone take it down and gave it to us. BTW! It was in a Walmart. So. All you can do is ask, no harm in that.

I'd love to have it, but my wife would kill me if I brought something that large into out tiny house I'll just settle for a smaller scale later on.

I think I will suffer the same fate
The solution I think is a Stealth U Wing Figher

Usually works that way, but I heard more than one story, that the Disney POSM (point of sales marketing) stuff needs to be returned. Asked more than once and most people replied they have to give it back intact.

I got a life-size Jim Morrison once, though...

I saw it in my local Walmart, and that was my thoughts exactly!
She wasn't receptive to AXM's 4' International Space Station (sorry Alfonso!) so she'd probably freak if that thing got hung from the ceiling.

BTW, our local Walmart has recently taken to turning the fluorescent lights to about half power. The perimeter lights going around the walls are full power, but the center of the store is dim! Hard to see some of the prices on the shelves. All the employees claim to have no idea why. Are any other Walmarts doing this? I'm wondering if they're trying to conserve power bill, or hide their shelf prices.

I haven't been paying attention, but more than likely they're trying to cut back on the power bill.

If the lighting's that dim, just make a grab for the model and leg it to the exit ! Surely Disney can afford to take a hit on one card model - mind you, they've just had to pay out to Harrison Ford for his sustained injury on set.
