Nice 50's Rockets

Flickriver: modern_fred's photos tagged with 1950s
Some nicely made paper models about 3 pictures down. Probably made by someone here

Interesting site, I looked at all the pictures and the one I noticed was about 6-7 down the page. The one with 1956 NOMAD station wagon!! That is a beautiful car, worth a small fortune today!!

The rockets are also excellent, thanks.

I believe the 56 Nomad is Monogram/Revell's Plastic kit
Nice, and Luckily I still have mine.

"Large" is one heck of an understatement. :D. I wonder if those were spray painted to get that bare-metalesc finish. The modeler has talent in mixed media materials that's for sure.

I still have some of those magazines and paperbacks. So I'm a packrat, that's a problem?

Brought back a lot of memories. Most of my 1950s science fiction books and magazines are long gone, but I still have my copy of The Demolished Man that I reread from time to time. "Tenser, said the tensor . . ."

Among the illustrations, I saw Ed Emshwiller, Virgil Findlay, and Jack Coggins represented, but not my favorite - Frank Kelly Freas.

Thanks for the posting, ShadowCory.
