worth snooping around some more.
Finds under "cutout" + "photo print drawing" (https://www.loc.gov/photos/?q=cutouts&c=100&st=list)

The "Yellow" kid : https://www.loc.gov/item/acd2000001788/PP/
Home office (1880) : https://www.loc.gov/item/2006677656/
Chicago Times Herald Paper Dolls: https://www.loc.gov/item/2003677769/
Plymouth Church Brooklyn (1881): https://www.loc.gov/item/2006677655/

some links didn't yield results. I don't know if it is a db issue or just not available.

According to the instructions these models require "pulverized gum arabic" for their construction. Any one know where this stuff is available?

Staples has an aisle for the pulverized gum arabics.
Its just beyond the wood encased graphite staves aisle.
