Luner Module in 1/48 scale

Well everyone here is my latest build, what a great model to build, it had no bad issues and went together really nice.
I built it over a week and a half time span, and only did a couple of minor changes, like adding pieces of tissue dipped in white glue/water to the joints of the landing gear legs where they join the body and a couple of other places, just to clean up those area's I call it creative camouflage, anyway I hope you all like it
Later.....Craig:D

Nice build friend, It would have been nice to have some build pictures too That deserves a moon surface to stand it on, and perhaps a moonscape background would look pretty cool too - just a thought.

Yea just get the moonscape props from that "faked" lunar landing decades ago!

Beautiful build, Chris.
Clean glueing and crisp folds. I'd love to tackle that, I have the files, but don't think I can do it justice.

Any build pics would be nice to see.

I built this model for my son (we built it together) for school project. I took a 16 x 16 inch piece of wood, put a thin layer of sheet rock compound on it. I used a sponge (a big one) that had large pores and touched it to the wet compound, lifting it vertically, voila, instant moon surface. By playing with the sponge using different pressures I was able to make a really neat surface. I used a paint brush to simulate the blast area by brushing from the center out. It is still in the school on display.

Your model did come better than mine I must say.

It's fake! It's fake! The shadows are all wrong! There are no stars in the sky! The flag isn't sticking straight out! :p :D

Both models look real good.

One question if I may?

What models are these, and from where did you guys get them?

Okay, that's really two questions. But I'm so flabbergasted from seeing these beautiful builds that the only thing I can think is, "I have GOT to get me one of these!"
