The 2008 version of Ares I

Pretty good day for everyone

My plan is to build a nice old Constellation program.
I waited anxiously, but unfortunately it does not fly.

Now I begin the first vehicle formerly known as the Ares I CLV, Crew Launch Vehicle.
I hope you will be successful
The basic plan: The Lower Hudson Valley Paper Model E-Gift Shop - Download - Post Apollo
Index of /cevton02/cev2_0601
Thank you Ton ..
Kiegésszítem the SRB plan http://jleslie48.com/shuttle20/th/

And found terv.http: / / homepage.mac.com / georgegassaway / GRP / Scale / ShuttleData / SRB.html

These are mixed with trying to build something

These graphics will help me.

Nozzle with two layers of paper in black and white

Prepared a template to be cylindrical when dry.

Many small cut many small sticking .....

Gimbel finished the skirt

Strips of aluminum foil adhesive joining

Here is the end of work today .....

Welcome Merzo

Very nice work, Merzo! The alu strips look great.
Personally I think Ares was a big waste of money as a project but nevertheless a very interesting one.
In what scale are you building it? 1/72?

Pretty good day everyone
Little time I could not share
Occurred during construction.
Built to help you understand dimensions and proportions.
I was wondering, and I checked all sizes.
The photos of the Ares I fancy that other dimensions.
This would have been great!!

Gimbal deposition nozzle body to prepare rockets.

Painting small things to help

SRB draw tube.

Braces everywhere

The body of the second stage
I started to measure and compare.
This is great!

Alignment.
prior to grinding and non-lint comes to impregnate Locitite

Nozzle. (Yes I know, is not accurate, but it failed)

Aluminum plates for the purpose
It is very easy to format

Base. this is a very unstable
(I do not know how it was shooting off the bench hall)

Designed dimensions

reality
Under construction doubt. It seemed to me to be too high.

Now, even painting, adjustment, it follows

The plan is precise and detailed. Easy to build.
Thank you Ton ...

Good work everyone
Merzo

Well, that's some good progress you've made! It looks the right height by me, if I compare it to the picture with Saturn V and Shuttle. Maybe even a bit smaller than in the picture. I like the small motors on the aft skirt. Nicely crafted.

Very nice. I really liked the models in the background also. Nice collection going there. The Lem/Apollo looks awesome.
