Having done the BIG ISS may I just say - you are insane ... ly ambitious, talented; and will end up with one heck of a set! Go for it.

I'm all better now, but the thread is - The BIG ISS .

I now return you to thorst's reguarly scheduled thread about a build with a lot more detail and skill on display than any of mine.

I got Zarya, Unity, Destiny, Quest, Z1, P6, S0, a Soyuz, then became too swamped in work to finish <_< I'll get around to finishing it eventually.

Spaceguy5,
Your 1:48 model looks great. It makes me happy to see that my designs scale up very nicely.
Thanks for the pics.

These big big models are worth of a museum hall...

And now that Discovery landed about 15 minutes ago for the last time, I can say this is a very nice model as homage for the Shuttle Program.

new window area

Hello,
the last days I tried to get the final shape of the window area done, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out until now, here are some screenshots of the drawing. I already have unfolded the part where the windows sit in to see if they really fit, the result was better than I hoped. I will now unfold the other parts and then try to squeeze the cockpit so that it fits inside. Then just all the other bits (nozzles, nozzles, nozzles) and I want the star tracker "doors" to be movable, but don't know if this will have success. It'll take a good time until it's ready to be built, but it's the "face" of the vehicle and I want it to be as good as I can do it.

The new aft fuselage is almost done, but as I hope to get more dimensional data or at least a better photo to verify the shape, I'll put this back until the nose is done. Perhaps someone here has an unbuilt 1/72 Revell or Monogram Shuttle and a slide gauge? You really could help me...

Thorsten
