Six days post op and I'm able to use my hand almost as well as before the surgery. The palm still hurts but there's no more numbness or tingling in the fingers. This is a good thing. Physical therapy starts on Friday and the right hand gets done on the 18th of August. I'm not able to build yet but I am able to refine designs and run the laser cutter. More parts are being reverted back to mat board since it seems to be much easier to work with.

Hi Mario,

keep cool, and also for the right hand good luck with the surgery.

I can well understand you, that you slowly can feel in our left hand again the other well-known prickling, right?

But just have a little more patience, buddy.

It's just a matter of letting things heal at this point. Once physical therapy starts I should be able to build for awhile. Then we do it all again for the right hand.By early September I should be good to go.

You're really going through it. Looking forward to your complete recovery in both hands.

I have no one to blame but myself. This is a problem that I've ignored for years because I didn't want to break away from programming projects I was working on. It's finally gotten to the point where ignoring it is no longer an option. Fortunately, in spite of my putting it off, there is no irreversible nerve damage so I should regain full use of all my fingers in time.

Do not worry, everything will be back as it was.

My wife had many years ago both hands must undergo the same surgery.

I'm not really worried, I'm more frustrated that it has to be done in the middle of this project.

The sutures are out and I'm cleared to build models again - at least until the next surgery on the 18th.

Now make even slowly and do not overstrain again, we already have to wait until you're back into shape.
