Disney XR-1 and Rocket Garden #2
With Endeavour's final launch occurring in just a few hours, I thought I would take a look back at one of the first serious designs for a reusable space plane.
With Endeavour Just Before MECO This my other rocket/ other NASA related craft display. (some are plastic ) |

That is really nice collection... I've thought of doing the same thing.........................but I found that "THINKING about doing" is not the same as doing.......
Very nice collection..... Swampfox |

Hey Dyna-soar,
It's very nice to see someone finally build my XR-1. How did the build go? Any problems or things that could be done better? I am always open to suggestions to make it a better experience. By the way, I also have it in 1/72nd and 1/33rd scales as well. Mike |

Everything went together fine as far as I can tell.

That's good news.
I noticed you didn't use the optional base and mounting stands so it wouldn't sit on the fins. Just curious. |

A fertile mind grows a fertile garden ... (I know there's a more poetic adjective?)
Lazy? I look at this picture and "lazy" is definitely not the word that comes to mind. Yogi

Wow. Quantity AND quality. Great work.
Might need to build an MLP to stick that XR-1 on, though. |

with just a few small mods, the xr-1 would resemble the black manta astra almost too much.
