Oh, I found this the other day: this is my first ever paper model kit. I designed it for my daughter for a class project back in 2001. It's our house.

Very cool Mark. That roof must have been challenging.

The first thing that came to my mind: it looks like a very nice house to live in. Is is in a rural environment?

About the Delta: I absolutely adore the engine section. Great work on the design! Bang on! Eagerly awaiting the "heavy" version...

We're very happy with it. It's not rural at all, it's actually pretty urban, in a 1920's-American-Midwest kind of way.

It's been a bit quiet on this front...anything on the drawing board? Always looking forward to seeing what you've been up to, Mark.

Cheers!
Jim

Hi Jim!

Funny, I'd just logged on to the site to upload a recent project:

Yeah, it has been kind of quiet. I've been busy with work and haven't been doing much modeling. It's spring break this week (in addition to other stuff, I teach illustration at the local Community College) so I'd like to get a few things finished up. The Delta V series is relatively close, the test build of the medium is done but I need to create a few new parts for a final version. The Medium+ and the Heavy are not too far behind. There are a few more Atlas variants on the way, and I'm starting on a series of Soviet ICBMs. I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it to the standard I wanted, but I found a lot of good reference up through the SS-11.

Also, it's NCAA tournament time, things get really quiet workwise around here. I think some of the 1st and 2nd round southern regionals are here in town, so we'll be invaded by thousands of college basketball fans, making it difficult to get into my favorite restaurants. Good time to work on models.
