I get my reference from all over the web, but I start with my own drawings. I have a massive, 8 gig or so collection of pictures from the net of launch vehicles, organized by country of origin/rocket/variant. For a model like this, I start with basic dimensions and set up a rough outline. then I go to the photo reference and try to weasel out as much detail as I can. On the Titan series, There are four common fuselages (I, II, III and IV) so I used all of the III series photos for detail, then added specifics for each variant.

For older variants, this can be a difficult process because the existing photos are lower resolution. There aren't many good shots of the Titan IIIa, but a lot more of the Titan IIIc. Fortunately, the IIIa uses the same core vehicle as the IIIc so you can extrapolate from there. Markings are easy, but rivet, panel and surface detail aren't.

Oh, and I guess the download issues were worked out? Sorry, I've been busy with real work the last few days.

Thanks, I guess I'm just impatient. Nice to have another one for the UAH rocket garden.
