Mark,

Are you going to have an option for open trusswork? If so, I strongly suggest you include a narrow flat rim around the blast shield at the top of the first stage. I built Mark Lardas' SeaLaunch -- an excellent model -- which does not have this feature, and the trusswork has separated from the first stage twice. Just not enough good gluing surface.

Yes, there will be an open trusswork option. Actually, I have a vertical rim inside the truss work that it glues to/sits on the outside of. It seems to work well, obviously if you wave the rocket around by the base it won't hold, but it seems like a solid solution for most use.

One of my cardinal rules of paper modeling. Along with don't sit on the booster.

The SS-7 is up at ecardmodels. The SS-9 should be pretty close behind.
