Yeah, because, you know, they've been pretty disappointing to this point... ;-)

Congrats and I'm happy all went well. I wish you the best for Round 2!

Little update, I started the BPC, first I printed it on a different paper I'm used to, little bit shiny, but I did'nt like the result, so I used Photoshop to recolor all of the templates for the BPC and the Les and replaced the black outlines with a light grey, which looks very good...

Just a quick note: Billy has been silently working on the last parts of the model. He is working hard to meet the deadline of November 1. And he has his show coming very soon. Can't wait to see what magic he comes up with for the finale...

Yep.
working on the BPC & LES, saving the hatch for last, incase I can't finish it before Saturday, I'll take it along and work on the hatch during the show, which actually would be nice to show to the "Plastic people" Pictures soon...

If you work your card magic at a "plastic" show, it will blow their minds, Billy. Unless it comes as an expensive styrene kit, or an even more expensive resin or photo-etch aftermarket add-on, they don't seem to recognize it as a "model."

One of the reasons I switched from styrene to card (other than the fact card modeling was cheaper and offered more of a challenge) was that scratchbuildling seemed to have become a lost art in plastic modeling. Instead of taking the time to do research and piece together some part, people went out and bought some resin aftermarket bit. I'm not knocking them -- it is great that the hobby has so many manufacturers in it -- but I just kept wondering where the challenge was in buying something I could sit down and scratch.

FWIW, I suggest displaying the model in the horizontal "exploded" configuration you used a few pages back, Billy. That was absolutely stunning!

That's exactly what I'm aiming for, with the BPC and the LES the "exploded" display will be about 5ft long, and it will be a nice show-off to put it together That's why I want to finish them first..
