To all,

I'm back to work. The eye surgeon tested both eyes - the left is clear as crystal; the right eye is "slightly" less, but I am not complaining. In fact, considering the coke bottles I had for glasses, I would call this a miracle.

I did lose my near vision, but with reading glasses, I can see small stuff even better than before.

So all is good!

As you can see from Billy's display, the CM and Escape System is quite large when displayed in parts. He is still finishing up his build, and I am sure he is about to surprise us any day now.

Ken

Really cool about the fellow from Lego.
Photos look like at least some of the interior lighting was lit for the photos.

Its been kind of quiet here for the past couple of weeks, just checking on the progress here. On a sad note I found out that my diabetes has reared its ugly head and affected my eyesight. Everything is blurry with or without glasses. Eye Dr said I have to get that under control before they can check my vision, they did check for a detached retina and glaucoma which I am OK there. My physician upped my metformin because it was not being controlled still above 250 after fasting for 12 hours, a high of 463 a couple of days.

To all,

Billy let me know a week or so ago that he got caught up in some "life" stuff that temporarily got in the way. He wants to get the project buttoned up soon. I know he's getting close to completion.

Castlewalls,

Sorry to hear about your health stuff. I know diabetes can be nasty stuff, but controllable. Good luck with everything.

Ken

Ken
That pesky "life stuff" does tend to get in the way of productive paper modeling. We're nearing the end of the semester here at the college, which means term papers and exams to grade and long hours away from the workbench. My Bismarck is proceeding very slowly these days. I do hope I can finish it before the Brits show up to sink it.

Can't wait for Christmas break!
