Hey Ken, I just noticed something looking at post #901. Going between the printed panel and the real one, the zig zag separation line looks like it goes up too far, past the bottom edge of the square cut out, which should terminate the zig zag.

Good catch. This must have happened when I redefined the rectangular notches, and forgot to re-do the zig zags. I'll fix that tonight.

Thanks!

Ken

A couple of small cleanup items to show tonight... the corrected "zig-zag" pattern on the Main Panel (thanks to alfadoc), and an item that gets very little attention, the Fire Extinguisher.

Jeez, I can see I'll have to put on my AMS (Advanced Modeler's Syndrome) cap for this one. Can't wait!

As predicted in the early stages of this project, the finger guards are alot of work, but as demonstrated here, they add much to the authenticity and realism to the main panel if a builder wants to spend the time...

Amazing work Billy!

Continuing on with the final push, I designed and added the Body Restraint Harnesses to the Couches.

Edge coloring the belts would make them look so much better. I just choose to spend my limited time and energy on getting this project out to you before I get sidetracked.

A little break from the control-panel;
I did the outer shell, I found this cardboard with the best possible shine I ever saw, it's like chrome or polished stainless steel.
Like some of these pictures of the original CM
( I'm lucky to have one of the best art-surply stores of Holland just around the corner, btw, they have a webshop)
The problem is that you can't print on it, so I took Ken's templates and flipped them around, and printed them mirrored on the back, it works fine, it is easy to emboss the bolds and panel lines
The next problem will be that nobody will believe that it's a paper model
This board is rather thick, like 275grm or more, so it works fine with the shape of the CM, a smaller scale model would be difficult to do,and there is no markings or line on the CM
