Also, ripping out and restarting is a normal (albeit frustrating) process. But, I think when you see the next set of changes I have in mind, you will agree that it was worth the effort. I think Mechanic was the first to recognize that I started off using the Virtual Apollo book as the primary source of info, which turned out to be a mistake. The Virtual Apollo book is EXCELLENT from an explanatory perspective. It's written descriptions are thorough and accurate. But the computer graphics could best be described as "illustrative", and was not created for dimensional accuracy. Ken

Wow, really starting over! Were any of the interior components salvageable?

I worked on the CM for most of the weekend. Nothing to show as of yet. I have been focusing on the aft bulkhead components - electrical runners, and miscl stowage. And how to still allow for opening up for display.
A few challenges remain.... should the couches stay with the crew compartment when disassembled, or stay with the aft compartment? There are 4 attachments to the forward bulkhead, and 2 to the edge of the aft compartment. I prefer to leave them with the aft compartment so they don't block the view to the Control Panel. BUT, that means the couches will only be mounted by 2 points.... 2 legged stool.... Ken

I made some progress today. I redesigned just about everything on the inside, and finally got a chance to start building. Here is the rear wall, and the right-forward equipment bay. This one looks much more like the real thing, and is proportionately correct. The little square flecks are velcro patches. Ken
