Apollo command module - 1:12
Today is my son's first day back in school, so maybe it's time for me to get back into the paper... I took the summer off, BUT, I have been anxious to show you my next project (after the release of the Apollo Astronaut).
Here are some preliminary pepakura shots of basic design elements. Here is my plan: 1. 1:12 scale to allow lots of detail, 2. Removable outer shell to expose the pressure vessel (also known as the crew compartment, 3. Then remove the crew compartment to expose the couches, instrument panels etc... Believe it or not, as complicated as this is, the most difficult challenge will be the heat shield. Stay tuned... Ken

Outstanding idea. Apollo CM is the "dream machine". Will compliment my Atomic City Mercury. Thank you Ken!

Geez Ken, if this is like anything else you have made, this will be the per-eminent archival representation of the Apollo Spaceship.
