My health has prevented me from modeling for awhile. I might be persuaded to share whatever I have with someone who will put it to use.
I think if you gave the mold to someone (not me, BTW) who has the facilities to vacuform copies, there would be a great demand for the item. And you'd have advanced our hobby tremendously.

I'm certainly in for one if it becomes available!

Thanks

Thanks. I guess this explains why I couldn't search successfully.

If there is someone out there willing to vacuum form using the master, I would certainly plunk down the necessary bucks.

Anxious to wrap up my current project and start on this.

I made a master and to date only one person has shown any interest in this as an add on item. I have successfully Vacuum formed the part, and it does add a nice touch to the model.

Hi Mike,

Any idea as to the cost to produce a few of these? I might be interested in one or two.

Also Mike

Mike,

If I'm not the "one person," then make it at least two people interested! IMO, the heat shield is the most daunting part of the build. I'm fairly confident I can manage everything else.

Heat shield

Count me in on one, if you opt to do a production run.

Hi Mike,

I saw your thread. Your shield is very well done. I would also like to purchase the vacuum formed heat shield.

Okay

So I will work up a price on these, I guess I need a little input here though.
1. Do you want to cut the perimeter yourself to fit the model that you build or would you prefer to get it raw and make your own cuts.

2. Primed grey or unprimed.

3. Do you want a printed copy of the honeycomb pattern. This of course would have to be applied by you. Heat gun and a littler patience required.

4. I will price these items separately, and you can choose. Shipping will not be included in the price.

Compartment floor.

I guess i need to ask the following question.

There is an inner floor that is also close to the shape of the shield. This is also a part that can be Vac formed. I may make a plug for this if there is any interest.

These are the only parts in this paper model that make significant improvements to the finished presentation.
