I'm happy to report that I'm finally putting my ISS together, and it has been a great set. But I have to ask -- how are you guys putting the modules together? I get a pretty good friction fit on the PMAs, but the rest of the connections elude me. (I'm going to feel silly if you guys have just been gluing them.) :D

Hi jparenti,

Thanks for your words and for your business.
It's very simple, just glue them.
I have to admit that while designing these ISS models I did not explain in detail how to connect them to each other. I only posted photos as a reference how the modules are linked. But now with the upcoming Russian segment modules, I am including "connectors". This way you don't need to glue them, just connect them. They fit perfectly. Of course, the difference is that the russian segment consists of very few modules compared to the US/ESA/Japan section.
The whole Russian segment can be attached and detached from "Unity" without glue.

There are many other members who have built the AXM ISS model to the current configuration and I'm sure they can also give you their feedback.
Guys, please....

Yes I also just glued them and they work perfect and stay straight. The only module that isn't straight is Kibo in which I need to figure something out to accommodate the extra weight of the JEF.

They fit together a lot nicer now though since the new CBM design.

Alfonso,

For the mathematically challenged (including me) and somewhat lazy (I really don't want to fill up the cart and then delete everything), how much will downloading *all* the 1/100 ISS modules and parts cost? And are you considering offering some way to do that all at once when they're all available?

I am sure that Alfonso will release an "ultimate" package to include the entire ISS once it is complete in the near future. It will of course be in reasonable price like the rest of his models.

To all,
Alfonso today released the 1:144 Mir model by John Jogerst.

Enjoy

Hi umtutsut,

After I'm done with the ISS project, I do plan to make it more affordable by releasing all the files in one package with other bonuses such as videos that show how to assemble the model. This is still a plan and don't know when I will make it effective.
I can tell you that I'm not making money by selling each file at a cost of 5.50 US dollars. I know everybody wants it for free, but not this model.
Every customer will always have free models in between when they make their purchases. That's my way to say thanks.
You have to consider the time I take to research these models and to design them as well. I try to make them as accurate as possible, but I know I am not perfect.

Alfonso

I think your models are great! It is definitely worth it for me to pay for each model, and I do so gladly. You have provided an excellent site and every shuttle program related model we could ask for. I just hope I can do the model justice when I finish it. :D

Believe me, I wasn't complaining about the price! Just wondering what it would cost me to download all the modules released to date, plus the Russian stuff.

Alfonso, the idea of the Ultimate Kit is superb. And even videos of the know-how! Amazing...

Thanks for all the Great Work, my friend!
