Yes. I do think you will all be VERY impressed with the upcoming Hubble. Hubble is coming soon. I think you will be VERY impressed with it. Oh and BTW I forgot to mention that all the holders on STS-125 (ie: the SLIC exc.) can all open and you can remove the payloads inside. Also the FSS can be glued in its stowed position or the deployed position! Look closely at the images.

BTW checkout my blog for pics of my revised ISS!!

Looks very good, already downloaded it and printed off. Nice to know someones helping Alfonso with the models. How's it feel to have your name and photo's on Alfonso's site.

As this is an ISS thread, I'll post pics in my payloads thread here AXM payload bay and iss builds. It's about time I updated it anyway, left it too long.

I've done a bit more on the ISS but not enough to post more photos yet.

Great to hear that you are ready to do this model. If you decide to start without the manual feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have ANY questions. It is a very complex model but very rewarding and looks great at the end.

Yes it felt VERY good to have my photos on the site and to have been mentioned on the mission page. It was all a great reward from building the actual model and creating the mission summary from the first mission I followed good on NSF and NSF L2. I thank Alfonso for giving me this great opportunity and I think that this will speed up the models a bit. There was a bit of a learning curve for my first model plus it was one of the harder models but I do believe that we will start to speed up the models soon after Hubble.

Hope you all enjoy the models.

Well lets keep the build thread going here,Just a little addition to the Destiny & S0 Truss, The S1 truss is complete and now I am kicking off the P1 Truss...

Tons of fun but I am a bit concerned about the Radiator panels not being strong enough to support themselves...Darn Gravity...

Lovely model and very big. I was worried about sag with the rad' panels as well, so I used brass rod instead of the card 'zig zags', holds the shape a lot better. They are heavier, but I think for your scale ISS brass would be better. I intend on glueing the rads in place anyway, so the weight won't really matter. I have posted a photo 2 pages back, the brass is in both photos. They will need painting though.

I'm going to finish S1 and P1 before the weekend and then start on all the parts for the mobile transporter. I'll get some pics up over the weekend. I'm also working on STS125, just the shuttle done at the moment though. I think the payload will have to wait for the instructions.

Nice idea Paul, It sreally worked well for your model. The ISS is such a perfectly lined and 90 Degree thing that even a little sag bugs the living daylights out of me. Ill polish off the P1 truss and then see what I do for the Radiators...

Thanks for the advice

Using the brass was a excuse for not using the card supports. I tried to cut them out 3 times and could not get any joy with glueing them to the rads, but in the end they turned out better with the brass.

First look I assumed that it was a 1:100 scale and wondered how it was so clean cut then took a second look at it and it is HUGE! Or is it just the angle? What scale is it?

Very Nice build, Very clean cut and everything!

Alfonso has released the Shuttle Derived Heavy Launcher for free at Jon Leslie's website (www.jleslie48.com).

The manual for STS-125 should be coming soon with Hubble coming after it.

Enjoy
