Thanks for all the kind words.
Now, I'm a bit in doubt whether to post the build of Hunt Club 1 over here or at the aircraft section. On one hand, it's a space related build because it's part of the diorama, on the other hand, it isn't an actual spacecraft. What are your opinions?

Put it here. It's a space-related diorama, so it's appropriate.

Look at it this way -- you posted your Super Guppy model build here.

Just my two cents.

Oh, yeah, doing the interior would just suck... I'd HATE to see that... (he says sarcastically) ;-)

That sounds really cool. I know it'll slow things down some, but you just KNOW you'll kick yourself if you don't include it, now that you've thought of it.

Well, the helicopter does have its sliding door open, so you could take a look inside anyway. So I might as well do that interior, too. And if I do that, I think I should make the windows in the cockpit transparent, too. So, chairs, pilots, load master, and, not to forget, Gus. Good old Gus, treading water. 1/96 paper peeples. Oh my. Am I really? Am I crazy? I guess. I'll try.

Crazy you are. Now go get 'em!

Is there really a better forum out there to lurk on? Methinks not.

Tomorrow. Then I'll be crazy again. Now I am going to sit on my couch, watch Autumnwatch at the BBC and drink some hot apple/cinnamon tea to get in the autumn mood.

Wow, how do you intend to make the people out of paper? That's pretty tricky to get it to look good, but eh, it's paper so what do you expect.

I suppose another option would be to use that glue figure technique (it seems really cool)

En busqueda de la Liberty Bell 7 - YouTube
Thanks for pointing that out, I knew nothing at all about this mission till I found this thread, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the docco and am now keen to learn more about this mission and gus himself. After watching it I also found a short clip of a very nerdy Museum curator showing off some of the stuff they found in the capsule when they restored it... along with dozens of mercury dimes carried by astronauts and hidden by the builders there were aslo dollar bills, signed by (Gus i think?), rolled up and sealed inside heatshrink tube then bundled away with the wiring... How the hell did they manage to find those I wonder?

I'll also be keeping an eye on this build, not only because it's so cool to watch but I now also have an interest in the subject matter. Ain't this place cool!
