Hi Merzo.

Might this be of some help?

Beyond Apollo: Search results for Nerva
Von Braun Mars Expedition - 1969
Prototypes.com/La propulsion nucléaire spatiale/I. Le projet ROVER-NERVA (in french, but nice pictures.)

I hope this is what you are looking for.
Good luck!

Merzo,

have you tried the Nasa Technical Reports Server?:

http://ntrs.nasa.gov/

Search for "Nerva" and you will find some very interesting yet technical papers.

While doing so (search term "nuclear propulsion mars") I came up with two interesting files, not exactly what you wantet but they fit well here:

http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/ca...2005161052.pdf

http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/ca...2001027995.pdf

(big files!)

Thorsten

If Scott At Up-Ship hasn't published any more info in Aerospace Projects Review or his other online or hard copy publications, he may have more info in his library - he's pretty approachable so may be able to offer some assistance...

Wow what a complex and strange language Hungarian is to me. Tried to find out what Kiegésszítő meant and when googling I got even more of those beautiful weird words full of accents, diaeresis and other diacritics...

by the way, for the rest of you: Kiegésszítő means something like "additional", if I'm correct.

Oh yeah, and I watched the clip. Wonderful stuff. They also had plans for this Orion ship, which would be propelled by small rapid atomic explosions...
