US Spacecraft Collection 1:96
In 11th grade, I did a project on the 1960's for my AP US History class, which of course involved the space program. One of my visual aids was a scale comparison of the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo in the form of 1:96 scale models mounted to piece of wood with a picture of a person for scale. Unfortunately, it was not used due to time constraints. It eventually ended up nailed to my office wall and has shown up in a few photos I've posted. Also, I've accumulated several modern and future spacecraft models in the same scale and decided to do some something similar with a collection of post-shuttle spacecraft ( I still need a Dreamchaser). |

That looks very sharp. Great builds.
I'm wondering how many of those on the bottom row will actually come to fruition, though.... |

That is wonderful work, and very smart to keep all of the craft in 1/96 along with the person for comparison. It gives the viewer (especially someone not familiar with the spacecraft) a very good perception of the space program. Beautiful displays.

Very nice. I've done the same thing, but I haven't yet done an orbital Cygnus or the X-38. I was also going to add an X-15 and shuttle to my display, which is no more than a shelf next to my computer.

That's really a very cool way to display your wonderful builds! It really looks great!
I also like you kept them all in the same scale, and with a person as a way to show the true size of these craft, as well as the relative sizes of the craft as the progressed in time. Awesome! Thanks for sharing a photo of your builds with us! Cheers! Jim |
