1:48th Scale Space Launch System
You read that title right! Go big or go home! I am going to try to design this using Sketchup, Pepakura, and MS Paint. Also, please bring constructive criticism and advice, I will greatly appreciate your support. This will be a long project, but I have every intention of finishing it. I'll do my best do get as much done as I can on the weekends as sophomore year of high school looks pretty busy.
Here are some initial shots of the core stage in Sketchup plus an image of what the real thing will look like. |

Wifey nearly went in to shock with my 1:96 Saturn V, but she survived. If yours can be scaled down I might give it a shot.

I got some basic modelling done on the RS-25, but I'm not sure how to go about with the exterior tubing. Here's a shot from sketchup and a picture of the real thing. Thanks guys for your comments, I appreciate it. I'll probably release a 1:96 scale version as well, my parents may not want two 7 foot rockets in my room.

Ive been playing around more with the RS-25 a bit more but I think I need a better program than ms paint for texturing, any suggestions?
