Lunokhod 1 (Луноход 1) and the Luna 17

Well, good day to everyone!

I would like to introduce my new plan

Lunokhod 1 "The Moon Walker"

Everyone knows by sight. Lunokhod 1 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A nasty little bug on the moon ....Great results.date 1970

I would like to build their own model, as it leaves the deck of Luna 17

Unfortunately, not much help. I found an old ABC model 1 / 16 scale, but still photos from Luna 17 is not much.

The planned 1 / 20 scale and its revision of the carrying construction.

Plan and the Mars Science Laboratory and the skycrane építése.1/20.
Scale model of a great Yogi and "crane" Introduction, parallel Diorama

I prepared the chassis.

Will be challenging the wheels!
in an unsuccessful trial is

Nice start - this is a model long-overdue to join the fleet. Can you prepare it with parts sheets for a kit or will it just be a scratch built model?

There was a great documentary about the Lunokhod entitled "Tank on the Moon". It periodically airs on the Science Channel.

Oh wow! Lunokhod! I like that, it's the unsung /forgotten hero amongst the wheelies on other worlds. Good to see it come alive.

Hi Everybody

Build a bit of "moon robot"
The wheel was a difficult problem. Luck helped the "ABC" plan reworked a bit and resized

The walking surface should be redesigned. The "ABC" model, all blue, it is likely to indicate the color of aluminum. I am the white level, though we know that the real moon associated with natural metal color (paint or even five kilograms, why waste the fuel)
Many photos show white, and I like it ..
Well, the wheels
I made several versions of Image Editor.

The interface is a thin paper (80 g / mm) should be only a dry glue stick

Supporting the roll bonding

The real wheel is very complex

I was not able to write like this scale .......

The wheels I will look something like this ...

The body also develops

Now here I am ..

Greetings to everyone

Very interesting, Merzo. Nice progress. I like the reinforcement of the "lid". Curious how the wheels will going to look. I certainly see the difficulties there. How to make a spoked wheel? There always is the more simple way. this way, it especially will appeal to others, especially if you want to make a kit out of it.
Good building and good luck!
