Now I am working on the rear of the model and the rest of the details. Have a look at this and see what you think: I decided to try using Red River Silver paper on this Gemini, and to build it as Gemini 12, with the experiments pack on the back. To the left is the original Gemini 4 done with regular paper. I rather like the shiny look of the 12, but I must admit, 4 has more detail.
Guess its a matter of taste. |

Well, the Gemini 12 capsule is done. Didnt turn out too bad. By far the worst part to do was the last one: the faring over the instermentation on the side. I just could not get it right. Oh well. The new door I installed looks great...you'd never know it wasnt original to the model...and I think the silver paper I used on the rear was a nice touch.
I think I will take a break from it now. I know I said I was going to do the Titan to go along with it, but that project is looking like more work than I had planned. I need a few simple Fiddlers Green models right now. Oh and yes I know that particular book isnt the most appropriate! But it was the only "space" book I had on hand when taking the pictures. |
