1:96 Scale Space Shuttle Program Commemorative Set

Hi guys, this is my first thread and Im kind of playing it by ear. My thread is about a set of models Im building to honor the Space Shuttle Program. The set will consist of a crawler transporter, mobile launch platform, a 747 sca, the pegasus barge, the VAB, and the entire US shuttle fleet (Pathfinder, Enterprise, Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour). I would like to make it known that I am building models designed by my good friend Alfonso X. Moreno and in no way am I trying to take credit for his amazing work, I am simply seeing just how far I can push the limits of my own imagination. On my next posting I will be uploading photos of my past works as well as my build of the famous Fortezza shuttle.

Impressive, Don! Good work. And a major task lies ahead, with your plans. And then the sheer scale. This is one thread to follow.

I have all of Alfonso's shuttles and have always wanted to do all of them but other builds always come along before I can get to them. Looking forward to seeing all of your builds.

Thanks gents! Here is a little something more for ya, my MLP as it was on Mar 4, 2012, and as it is now. All photos are being taken with the same camera my father used to shoot weddings, the Canon EOS 20D. I will ad that I engineered the trucks of the Crawler to take all of the weight of the build and that is the reason for the four posts you see extend up from the top of the truck/chaise interface.
