Ton's Hubble Telescope

Hubble Space Telescope

I did the Ton's intermediate-level model in 1/144 scale.
I plan to in the future do a shuttle and Hubble repair mission.
So I wanted to see how it would come out.

That's a pretty little Hubble. Well crafted! Could you put something of scale in a photo? I always like to see how big something is...

Wow, nice job! Funny, I always would have though of scaling up to make it bigger.
This smaller size, though, looks even better. Will make a fine diorama.

Well done, John.
I´m starting with the last hubble servicemission from AXM months ago. I had first the idea to build the expert model of Hubble in 1:44. But now i see the intermediate-level is good enough in this scale.

That's the shuttle I was thinking of doing also..I also like this one in that scale..I may try the expert model at a later date as a stand alone model but keep it at 1/48 scale.

Very well done!

And yes, I also recommend that if you do the expert, do it at its original scale, as it has many little details not very suitable for 1/144... unless you have tiny tools. You can see mine here: Hubble Space Telescope - Ton Noteboom

Yes and you can see mine there as well. I am the old guy holding the model. I used chrome paper for mine and enhanced the hand rails and solar panels. Now it is so dusty I do't know what to doo. Too many delicate parts that can come off.

Nice job by the way. isn't this a terrific model. I love ho the telesope can be built to slide out of the body revealing the detail inside and the scope iteself. People are blown away when I take it apart.
