1:72 Space Shuttle Available Again!

Attention all space shuttle enthusiasts!

I just saw at the Czech Republic model site Betexa.cz, that they have re-released Pavel Bestr's wonderful original 1:72 scale Atlantis space shuttle model from the STS-30 mission, as a new LIMITED EDITION "Digiprint". This model comes with complete landing gear, wheel wells, and a detailed upper flight deck interior with instrument panels all around and astronaut seats. It was drawn by hand by the designer and really is a masterpiece. It also includes the Venus probe 'Magellan' and a full payload bay interior:

Furthermore, it was the basis for the immensely popular 1:100 scale Marscenter space shuttle models, which many at this forum has built (without flight deck interior or landing gear, though). It was released by Dr. Raimondo Fortezza in Italy (a well-respected member of this forum). Here is a working link (via The WaybackMachine) to all these FREE 1:100 scale space shuttle models, including the ISS in 1:100 scale: Home Page di MARS Center -= Microgravity Advanced Research and Support Center =-

I ordered some models from Betexa year back, by the way, and paid via Mastercard and I had no problems - the models were delivered within two weeks, which is quite OK. I might take a little bit longer overseas, but it certainly is worth the wait. I can wholeheartedly recommend this fine real space card model!

All the best from Stockholm,
Bengt

PS.
I just realized I forgot to include the direct link to the actual model - here it is:

Link to The 1:72 Scale Atlantis Orbiter Model!

Hi all,

I was in a bit of a hurry and I realized I had forgotten to include the direct link to the actual model on Betexa's site - here you are:
Raketoplán Atlantis - limitovaná edice DIGITISK | BETEXA.cz

There are full instructions (with several detailed assembly drawings) for the model in English.

And another close-up of the Atlantis model - sorry, I cannot remember who built this one. Is there someone who recognizes it?:

All the best,
Bengt

Pavel Bestr's Original Atlantis Orbiter Model in 1:72 Scale

No, Gerardo!

This is not Dr. Raimondo Fortezza's well-known 1:100 scale space shuttle model - this is the original 1:72 scale space shuttle (or orbiter) model, hand-drawn by Czech designer Pavel Bestr.

Dr. Fortezza (at Marscenter) made his slightly smaller 1:100 scale model based on Pavel Bestr's original model, which is also acknowledged in the instructions of the Marscenter model.

My best to you, compadre!
/ Bengt

I just checked the Wayback Machine link.
Not all pages are available for the Shuttles.

Correction, going back to get the error link gave me
the 5 pages I found missing.

If you get the error, simply close that tab, then open it back up

That is what I did.

I already had many of the pages in my collection, but was missing a few.
I did have 3 of the 5 that came up as errors.

I placed my order late night January 22 in Alabama, morning January 23 in Czech Republic. My order was postmarked January 29, and was delivered by registered mail in Alabama February 21. It looks quite nice.

FYI, with permission, the egiftshop is hosting all the pages of Dr. Raimondo Fortezza's 1:100 shuttle.

This has to be one of the best sites I have ever been to. I have every Shuttle now but as I tried to get the ISS it was not in English. Being a tipacal American with just barely a handle on his own language, is there any way of seeing the instructions in English or do I try the Google Transl or? Thank you. wc
