Thank you, chmilestones, you made my day. Well, evening I suppose, it is 9PM here. (-;
I really hope you get better soon. Glad you're part of the group here. I feel the same about it. Greetings back from the beautiful northern region of the Netherlands.

final result again - with backdrop

As I said earlier in this thread, I wanted to make some photos of the stack with the sky as a backdrop. today I had an opportunity to do so and here's the result. I used a flash to let the display stand out a little more against the sky. On the last photo you can see my thumb and first I thought the picture was a bit 'meh' because of it but then I thought that this perhaps was a funny way of showing the scale again although my thumb is out of focus. Oh well. Here's my last bunch of pictures of the Enterprise/SCA build.

(and I already am brooding on a new project but it may take a little time before it will be actually started...)

Whoa! You got to photograph the actual SCA?? And what is that huge sausage doing in the runway in the last photo?

Seriously, though... Incredible results! Well worth the frustrations it presented, it appears.

Hahaha! Yeah, the sausage was unfortunate but also puts things back in scale...
Thanks for the kind words, Gideon.

If you like, iI could photoshop the stand out. then you'd get a better effect that it's "flying"

Thanks for the offer, Mohammed, I also have Photoshop (CS5) so I could try and do that myself. But I'd like it to still be the model. Because it is. Because the seams are much too big for it to ever look like the real thing. That's why I also posted the 'Thumb sausage' picture. It now has a whiff of realism added but it also still is the papery model stuff it actually is.
