Center section with the embossed floor panels
Its a very nice effect, the double layer to get the floor panels with the shaped lines

Wadcutter asked what tools i used, it's this one from NT;Amazon.com: NT Cutter Aluminum Die-Cast Holder Cushioned Grip Art Knife with Needlepoint and Burnishes, 1 Knife (D-1000GP): Office Products
And the other tool is a steel rod with a blunt and a sharp end, ( I use it a lot)

Hi to all,

i am new here in this froum, my is Wolfgang and i am from Austria/Europe.
I bought the Apollo Command Module from Ken a few months ago and i was searching for some informations about building the CM. While i was searching i found this threat. The LRV looks great!!!!!
In the past i build a LRV made of Resin, scale 1:32 but building a LRV in paper would be great. Are there any news about the current project?

Happy new year to all!

Wolfgang

I happened to take a close up of the floor panel on the Rover.

Looks like the floor panel might be a full sheet of corrugated metal
mounted to the bottom of the frame...
but the model looks pretty darn close to me!

Note the spare parts...even at NASA, they have parts left over! Its just like IKEA.

Spare parts? Naaah. You're looking at it from the wrong angle. It's just been re-engineered with better efficiency.

Well, I had some serious time-consuming matters in my private life, work, family, so there was no time to relax and build something, but i think I can step up the project again soon...i feel a bit guilty towards you guys

Don't feel guilty, bro. This is a hobby and should always take a backseat to family and the stuff that pays the bills. A hobby only works if you keep it in the proper balance with the other things; otherwise, it becomes an obsession. I think we all know people who have become obsessed with something, including this hobby, and they are generally not good people to be around for any length of time.

Nobody faults you for keeping things in balance.

Well said, David. I guess that's why I have to keep it all quite calm at the moment, too... /-:
