Space shuttle Atlantis, SRB & ET - 1:144, AXM Models
Hi all,
I'm back into paper models again! While living in Brunei, the atmosphere was just too humid to build anything beyond the simplest designs, and I ended up building several pl****c and the odd wooden model. In Kuala Lumpur (still tropical) I live in a much more modern place with proper A/C. I've started to build Alfonso Moreno's model of space shuttle Atlantis, together with the Solid Rocket Booster and External Tank. For those of you who are not familiar with AXM models, please check out: Welcome to AXM Paper Space Scale Models I'm posting photos of my second attempt, I first started a build without the internal strengtheners in the wings, and wasn't happy with the result. And I'm not just going to build the shuttle and stack, there is more to follow...

What a fantastic job you've got here. Wonder where did you download the underside of the shuttle? I couldn't find it in the AMX website. Have I missed something?

I'm building it as STS-135, the final shuttle flight.

Here are the Solid Rocket Boosters. I've made the tips with some plastic putty, sanded down to shape.
